Chiefs have right of first refusal on Kevin Curtis

kevin_curtis

The long, official list of free agents release earlier this hour has one unexpected name.

Veteran receiver Kevin Curtis, who made a comeback late last season after a bout with testicular cancer, signed with the Chiefs for the postseason game against the Ravens, after being cut by the Dolphins in late December.

Curtis agreed to give the Chiefs a right of first refusal for 2011, providing the Chiefs with a chance to match any offer Curtis may receive elsewhere.

It’s unknown whether anyone will have interest in Curtis, but he has shown in the past that he has a high degree of ability.

Curtis made one catch for three yards in the loss to Baltimore.
