The Chiefs worked out running back Isaiah Pead on Tuesday, a source told PFT.
Pead played in three games for the Dolphins earlier this season but was released last month. He’s played in 30 career games since being selected by the Rams in the second round in 2012.
The Chiefs have had injury issues at running back. Last week, they brought back Knile Davis and also signed Bishop Sankey.
Tuesday is a busy day for tryouts across the league. Veteran running back Joique Bell was one of three running backs to work out for the Packers, who have also been hit hard by injuries at the position. The Dolphins also worked out running back Storm Johnson.
Pead was one of seven players to work out for the Chiefs. The others were quarterback Joel Stave, safeties Jimmy Hall and Earl Wolff, wide receiver Dres Anderson and linebackers Amarlo Herrera and Dwayne Norman.
