On Saturday afternoon, running back Chris Jennings was released by the Jets. On Sunday morning, Jennings was apparently trying to break a land speed record driving home from Jets camp.

Jennings was arrested early Sunday by the Ohio State Highway Patrol after being clocked on radar driving 147-mph in a 65-mph zone, Fox 8 reports.

After pulling Jennings over, troopers found that he had expired plates and was driving on a suspended license. He was arrested and taken to the Guernsey County jail, where he posted bond via credit card and was released.

Jennings’ only regular-season experience came in 2009, when he appeared in nine games for the Browns and carried 63 times for 220 yards. In 2010 he was arrested for getting into a bar fight in Cleveland.

Although Jennings is nowhere near as good a running back as Adrian Peterson, he may be the only NFL player who drives faster than Peterson.
