There was a bit of positive injury news for the 49ers on Tuesday.
Reporters at the team’s joint practice with the Titans noted that wide receiver Mike Evans suited up for the session. Evans has missed the last week of practices because of a quad strain.
It remains to be seen how much work Evans will do as the 49ers will want to ease him back in order to lessen the risk of further injury.
Any work that Evans does will be more than running back Christian McCaffrey gets during Tuesday’s practice. McCaffrey sat out on Monday — offensive coordinator Klay Kubiak said he was “a little sore” — and he remained out on Tuesday, although he did do some conditioning work on the field before the joint practice got underway.
