The Tonight Show with Jay Leno isn’t the only Comcast/NBC property on which Packers linebacker Clay Matthews will appear this week. On Friday night, Matthews makes a cameo on WWE Smackdown. The show will be aired on SyFy at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The event was taped at the Resch Center in Green Bay, and it features a World Heavyweight Championship match between Edge and Dolph Ziggler.

If you prefer not to have your scripted sports experiences spoiled, stop reading.

Multiple readers (including Dan Wahler of WrestlingObserver.com) tell us that, after referee Vickie Guerrero was knocked out of the match, Matthews ran into the ring wearing a black-and-white-striped jersey and applied the one-two-three count for the victory by Edge.

Several other Packers players then came into the ring to celebrate with Edge and Matthews.

And the crowd went wild.
