The NFL suspended Commanders defensive end Dorance Armstrong for one game for violating its personal conduct policy.
Armstrong can practice and play in the preseason, with the suspension scheduled to start Aug. 30. He becomes eligible to return Sept. 14.
Nicki Jhabvala of TheAthletic.com found public records that show Armstrong was arrested May 10, 2025, in Frisco, Texas, on misdemeanor charges of assault causing bodily injury and resisting arrest. He received deferred adjudication for both.
Armstrong continues to work his way back from the ACL he tore in Week 7 last season.
He has 10.5 sacks over the past two seasons in Washington.
