The Dallas Cowboys signed former Ohio State tackle J.B. Shugarts and former Duke long snapper Jackson Anderson. They also released long snapper Charley Hughlett and wide receiver Carlton Mitchell.

According to Carlos Mendez of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Shugrats, a Klein, Texas native, had worked out for the Cowboys earlier this week prior to being signed. Shugarts spent time last season with the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills.

Anderson is an undrafted free agent that grew up in the Dallas suburb of Frisco. He was a four-year starter at long snapper for Duke.
