Cowboys tight end Princeton Fant was carted off from Monday’s practice after an apparent left knee injury.
Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News reports Fant was scheduled for an MRI to determine the extent of the injury.
The Cowboys also have Jake Ferguson, Brevyn Spann-Ford and Luke Schoonmaker at the position.
Fant took a knee-to-knee hit after being blocked backward into running back Israel Abanikanda during the Cowboys’ first padded practice of training camp. He was unable to put weight on his left leg, requiring a cart to leave the field.
Fant signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee in 2023. He has appeared in 11 games in three seasons, playing mostly on special teams.
