Commanders head coach Dan Quinn opened his Monday press conference by discussing the injury that forced left tackle Laremy Tunsil out of practice on Saturday.
Word was that Tunsil suffered a triceps injury and Quinn confirmed that was the case. He also said that the team will have a better idea of how long he will be out once he has surgery.
“He did injure his tricep, he is going to get surgery,” Quinn said. “It’s always tough to talk about a player missing time, especially a great player like LT. . . . We’ll know more post-surgery on timelines and all that good stuff.”
Quinn said Brandon Coleman will take over at left tackle and that the team has no immediate plans to look for outside help at the position. Coleman was a 2024 third-round pick and has started 17 games over his first two seasons.
