Darren Sproles says “I’ll be all right” after knee injury

The one potential dark cloud to go over all the silver linings for the Eagles last night was a late injury to running back Darren Sproles.

Sproles was injured in the fourth quarter, and NBC’s Michele Tafoya said trainers on the sideline were checking the stability of his left ACL and MCL.

But he eventually walked to the locker room under his own power.

Geoff Mosher of CSNPhilly.com caught up with him afterward, and Sproles said only “I’ll be all right.”

The Eagles have a bye week coming up, so he’ll have an extra week to heal.

But if anything keeps him out of the lineup, they’re dangerously thin there, with Chris Polk the only other running back on the roster.

He was inactive with a hamstring injury last night, leaving tight end Trey Burton to take garbage time handoffs.
