Deion Sanders on absence from EA College Sports game: “They’re probably not paying enough”

EA Sports used to market its various offerings with this slogan: “If it’s in the game, it’s in the game.”

When it comes to the new edition of the EA Sports College Football franchise, Deion Sanders isn’t in the game.

“If I’m not in the game, they’re probably not paying enough,” Sanders said Tuesday at the Big 12 Football Media Days, via Brett McMurphy of On3.com.

Good for Deion to hold out for fair value. He should. And he doesn’t have to agree to whatever EA Sports offers so that the fans will have a game that feels real.

EA gets paid; the persons whose names, images, and likenesses are used have every right to insist on doing the same. And if EA isn’t willing to meet the price, the person won’t be in the game.
