After dinner with Washington Redskins officials on Monday night and a three-hour meeting with the team on Tuesday, wide receiver DeSean Jackson is staying in the Washington D.C. area for another night.

According to Dianna Russini of NBC News4, Jackson had a flight scheduled to leave Washington on Tuesday night. Instead, Jackson did not board the flight and remains in town.

Jackson’s agent, Joel Segal, is also in Washington after an unrelated speaking engagement at George Washington University.

People near to Jackson were suggesting it was a “done deal” Monday night that the free agent receiver would end up with the Redskins. The longer he remains in D.C. without leaving to take another visit, the more likely that scenario becomes.

Jackson was released by the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday and is coming off the best season of his career. Jackson caught 82 passes for 1,332 yards and nine touchdowns with the Eagles last season.
