As expected, Dolphins pass rusher Cameron Wake will miss the rest of the season.

Wake, who suffered a torn Achilles tendon on Thursday night, has been placed on injured reserve. The Dolphins announced the move today.

The 33-year-old Wake was off to a good start this season, with seven sacks in seven games. But he’ll have a tough time getting all the way back to full speed next year at age 34.

The Dolphins announced that offensive lineman Ulrick John has been signed off the Colts’ practice squad to take Wake’s place on the active roster.
