The Colts lost two key offensive players to ankle injuries on Sunday night.
Early word on running back Ahmad Bradshaw isn’t good as reports indicate that the veteran broke his ankle during the game. Neither the team nor Bradshaw has confirmed anything about his condition, but tight end Dwayne Allen offered a more optimistic take on his condition Monday.
Allen called himself “day-to-day” and said that he suffered a low ankle sprain during the loss to the Patriots. That’s left him hopeful that he can play against the Jaguars next Sunday.
Coby Fleener had a good night in Allen’s absence, finishing with seven catches for 144 yards, but the Colts could use all hands on deck as they try to hold onto control of the AFC South and, perhaps, vie for a first round playoff bye. They’ll need some other contenders to drop games for that to be a possibility after Sunday’s loss, though.
