It’s one guard in and one guard out for the Eagles.

On Tuesday, the Eagles announced a pair of expected moves on their offensive line. Right guard Todd Herremans has been placed on injured reserve because of the torn biceps muscle that he tried to play through last week. His roster spot will be taken by Evan Mathis, who has been activated from injured reserve with the designation to return and is expected to return to his starting spot on the left side of the offensive line.

Mathis has been out since spraining his MCL in the first week of the regular season. That’s been one of many challenges that the Eagles have had to overcome on their offensive line this season and Herremans’s injury guarantees that the season will play out without the Eagles ever getting their five preferred starting linemen on the field at the same time.

Matt Tobin is expected to take over for Herremans at right guard after spending most of the first half filling in for Mathis on the other side of the line. The Eagles will break out their latest new look line against the Panthers on Monday night.
