The Eagles have played without safety Earl Wolff for the last two weeks and he won’t be returning to the lineup this season.
Wolff was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, his second NFL season having come to an end because of what the team announced was a knee injury. Wolff hasn’t been on the team’s injury reports in recent weeks, although he did appear on injury reports earlier this season with the same problem.
Wolff also had a knee injury that cost him time late in the season as a rookie. Wolff missed five of the last six regular season games and the playoff loss to the Saints because of that issue. Wolff started six games as a rookie and started the last time he played in a Week Nine victory over the Texans, but the 2013 fifth-round pick was otherwise a backup in 2014.
The Eagles also announced that they have signed cornerback Roc Carmichael, who played 13 games with the team last season.
