Ed Dickson agrees to three-year deal with Ravens

Not every team has taken off for the holiday weekend just yet.

The Ravens announced they agreed to terms on a three-year contract with tight end Ed Dickson on Friday. Dickson and fellow rookie Dennis Pitta will compete for snaps behind Todd Heap this season and likely push Heap off the roster before long.

Dickson appears to be first in line behind Heap, occasionally practicing with the starters during OTAs. It wouldn’t surprise us to see Dickson, a catch-first tight end, on the field quite a bit this season.
