Broncos G.M. John Elway says if Brock Osweiler doesn’t want to join the team at Monday’s White House visit, that’s fine.
Osweiler says he’ll stay in Houston for the Texans’ Organized Team Activities rather than joining the Super Bowl champion Broncos to be honored by President Obama. Other players who have left the Broncos for other teams this offseason -- including Ryan Harris, Danny Trevathan, Aaron Brewer, Omar Bolden and Malik Jackson -- are expected to be there. Elway says it’s fine either way.
“That’s Brock’s choice, so all the other guys from my understanding are going to be there which will be great,” Elway told 9 News in Denver. “We get everybody back together and celebrate the great season that we had last year, so it will be fun.’’
Osweiler isn’t the only 2015 Bronco who won’t make the visit. Evan Mathis, who is now with the Cardinals, has also said he plans to stay at his team’s OTAs.
