ESPN is saying goodnight to the syndicated version of Good Morning Football.
Ryan Glasspiegel of Front Office Sports reports that the new owner/operator of NFL Network has decided not to bring the syndicated version of Good Morning Football back for a third year.
The syndicated version of the show debuted in 2024, after an extended hiatus and a relocation of the production from New York to L.A. The main show shrank from three hours to two, with the two-hour syndicated show taped after the conclusion of the primary production.
It’s unclear whether the show will return to its original three-hour format, once the two-hour version goes away.
While it doesn’t impact NFL Network’s programming, it’s one of the most tangible changes that ESPN has made since getting the keys to NFL Network on April 1.
