It’s too soon to say whether Falcons receiver Julio Jones can play Sunday in Pittsburgh, but coach Mike Smith is optimistic.
Smith said that Jones, who suffered a hip injury on Monday night, is sore today. Smith added that he hopes Jones will be good to go against the Steelers.
Jones had a phenomenal game on Monday night and is now leading the NFL in receiving yards. Smith talked up Jones’s impact on his team.
“In my mind, Julio’s the best in the NFL,” Smith said.
Having the best in the NFL ready to go down the stretch would go a long way toward getting the Falcons into the playoffs.
