A week after he was activated from the physically unable to perform list, Jawaan Taylor is listed as the Falcons’ starting right tackle.
The Falcons’ updated depth chart shows Taylor as the starter at right tackle. Last week Michael Jerrell was listed as the starting right tackle, but now Jerrell is No. 2 behind Taylor.
Atlanta signed Taylor after right tackle Kaleb McGary retired this offseason, and Taylor was expected to start. Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski has praised Taylor for working hard at learning the Falcons’ offense before he was cleared to practice.
Taylor had been dealing with an elbow injury he suffered last year while playing for the Chiefs. He was cut by the Chiefs in March and signed with the Falcons in April.
The 28-year-old Taylor was a 2019 second-round pick of the Jaguars who played four years in Jacksonville and three in Kansas City.
