Falcons rookie safety Terell Floyd was taken away in an ambulance Friday after suffering from dehydration, a move that was “precautionary,” head coach Dan Quinn said at his press conference.
Quinn said Floyd was to be evaluated to ensure he was OK.
According to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Floyd fainted during the workout.
A Louisville product, the 22-year-old Floyd notched 49 tackles, defended seven passes and hauled in one interception as a senior in 2014. He signed with Atlanta as a free agent after the draft.
Temperatures in Flowery Branch, Ga., site of Falcons camp, were supposed to reach as high as 85 degrees on Friday, per WeatherUnderground.com.
