Falcons to be without Michael Turner

ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirms that the Falcons will be without running back Michael Turner on Sunday against the Eagles. Turner aggravated his high ankle sprain in Week 12.

In place of Turner, Atlanta will reportedly start Jason Snelling. Snelling also started the team’s Week 11 game against the Giants, rushing for 76 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries.

Jerious Norwood will likely act as a “change of pace” back behind Snelling. Norwood, who returned from a hip injury last Sunday, added some spark to the Falcons’ offense by amassing 50 yards and a touchdown on eight touches.

The Falcons will also be without wideout Michael Jenkins (ankle). Brian Finneran looks to be the favorite to start opposite No. 1 receiver Roddy White.

White was limited in practice all week with a knee injury and listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report. But White will be in the starting lineup against Philadelphia, Schefter has confirmed. Chris Redman will be throwing to him.
