Justin Forsett and his wife both found new teams this offseason.

Forsett signed with the Texans after a four-year stint in Seattle, and his wife Angela’s pregnancy caused her to step away from the United States womens volleyball team, which will play in the Olympic semifinals today against South Korea.

Suffice it to say their decision to start a family was unexpected, since she was a month into training camp, having made it through a number of roster cuts already.

“She was on the team and doing really well,” Justin said sheepishly to Dale Robertson of the Houston Chronicle. “Until I messed it up.”

Angela Forsett might actually be the best athlete in the family. She’s the daughter of former NBA star Paul Pressey, and Justin admitted her 36-inch vertical is better than his best by four inches.

“She can dunk a tennis ball,” he said proudly. “She’s pretty explosive.”

Of course, their baby’s due Jan. 8, which coincides with what the Texans hope is a playoff bye week.

“It’s a blessing,” he said. “We’re excited. It’s all about family now.”

Forsett’s trying to make the Texans as a third back behind Arian Foster and Ben Tate, along with return duties.

And if it doesn’t work out, he could always change the diapers, while his wife goes back to volleyball.
