The waiting game continues for Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant, but there are signs that the Cowboys are keeping the door open for Bryant to return to action as soon as Sunday at the Giants.

Cowboys Coach Jason Garrett told reporters that Bryant will work on the side at the start of practice Thursday, but Garrett said Bryant is running and cutting at full speed.

Tuesday, Garrett said Bryant could play Sunday “if he has a couple of really good days of practice.” The Cowboys listed Bryant as a non-participant in practice Wednesday; he worked only on the side.

Bryant broke his foot in Week 1 against the Giants. Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones has suggested that Bryant may be ahead of what was a projected November return, possibly as soon as this week.
