Gilyard joins teammates for workouts

Rams receiver Mardy Gilyard, whose absence from Rams player-only workouts earlier this offseason helped to spark phony rumors he asked for a trade, joined his teammates recently for practices in Arizona.

As pointed out by Turf Show Times, Gilyard let his Twitter followers know that he got some work in with his teammates in Arizona. That’s not a sign of a guy that wants out.

Gilyard is being watched closely this offseason because he looked like a promising prospect in the build up to the 2010 draft before getting taken 99th by the Rams.

After being a non-factor as a rookie, Gilyard could struggle just to make the Rams roster this year at a crowded position.
