Rams quarterback Jared Goff is in the league’s concussion protocol, Rams interim coach John Fassel said after Thursday night’s loss to the Seahawks.

Goff was scrambling in the fourth quarter but didn’t slide or run out of bounds, and he took a big hit from Richard Sherman. Though Goff resisted, he was removed from the game and eventually taken to the locker room.

After the game, Sherman told reporters that Goff had “a little disrespect in his running style. He was acting like he was getting a freebie to the end zone.” Sherman made sure that didn’t happen.

I admire his courage,” Fassel said of Goff. “But he has to get out of bounds.”

The 4-10 Rams are clearly playing for the future, so it would be disappointing if Goff can’t play in either of the Rams’ final two games.
