Hey, it’s the fantasy football playoffs.

And since Cam Newton is on God’s fantasy team, He obviously needed a sub.

So it appears that’s why Cardinals quarterback Ryan Lindley got the call.

The Arizona backup was called into action during last night’s win over the Rams, but his Twitter account was also in action.

At halftime, his followers were greeted by a message from Lindley offering free Bibles. Of course, it was an auto-tweet sent out by a handler with a poor sense of timing, even if a valid sense of mission.

Then again, he was able to lead the Cardinals to a win, perhaps by divine intervention. But at 4-of-10 for 30 yards, he didn’t get all that many fantasy points for His Owner.

Of course, God’s got the advantage of playing me in the playoffs this week, and he totally snookered me on that Newton-for-Tim Tebow trade earlier this year.
