Hall of Fame names presenters for this year’s class
When former Bills coach Marv Levy was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001, his General Manager Bill Polian presented him.
Levy gets to return the favor this year, as he’ll present Polian for his induction in August.
“I’m so honored and complimented that he asked me to be his presenter. He’s not just a former co-worker of mine; we are great friends as well,” Levy said. “His contributions to the game have been magnificent and I savor the opportunity to be his presenter.”
Levy has the most experience of the group, having previously presented three of his players: Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas and Andre Reed.
The Hall announced the full list of presenters for this year’s eight-man class, a group which includes family members and co-workers to help them toward the ultimate honor.
Jerome Bettis will be presented by his brother John Bettis III, Tim Brown by his brother Donald Kelly, Charles Haley by former 49ers owner Edward DeBartolo, Jr., Junior Seau by his daughter Sydney Seau, Will Shields by longtime friend Adrian Lunsford, Mick Tingelhoff by former teammate Fran Tarkenton, and Ron Wolf by his son Eliot Wolf.
