The release of photos generated in connection with the Greg Hardy criminal case (which coincidentally was expunged on Thursday) raises plenty of questions for his current employer, the Dallas Cowboys.
First, did they see the photos before signing him? We’ve posed that question both to the league and the team, and we’ve yet to get a response. A source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that the Cowboys did see the pictures.
Regardless of whether they did or didn’t, there’s no good answer to that question.
Second, if Cowboys management (such as Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones) saw the photos and coach Jason Garrett didn’t, what will Garrett have to say? He’s been the consummate company man since become the head coach five years ago, but everyone has their limit. This could be it -- especially if guys in the locker room react negatively to the photos.
Regardless, the Cowboys now have another new problem with Hardy, and it relates to the one problem that predated his time with the team.
