The Colts will list quarterback Matt Hasselbeck as probable on their final injury report of the wek, Colts coach Chuck Pagano told reporters Friday.
Hasselbeck has been knocked out of the Colts’ last two games. A rib injury last week has left him in pain on and off the field, but he’s apparently been cleared to start Sunday vs. the Texans.
Hasselbeck sat out practice Wednesday but returned Thursday. The Colts are at least a week -- but they hope only one -- from getting Andrew Luck back.
The winner of Sunday’s game takes over first place in the AFC South with two games left. If the Colts win they’ll hold an eventual tiebreaker by virtue of a season sweep of the Texans. Hasselbeck quarterbacked the Colts in the first Colts-Texans game in October.
