The Arizona Cardinals have announced that linebacker Ali Highsmith has been placed on injured reserve, ending his rookie season. The undrafted free agent from LSU was the backup to Karlos Dansby at weakside linebacker. Highsmith, cousin of former NFL running back Alonzo Highsmith, appeared in six of eight games. To replace Highsmith, the Cardinals signed linebacker Pago Togafau from the Saints’ practice squad.
