Ifeanyi Momah suffers torn meniscus, Cards meeting with Joseph Fauria

Golfhack1396

Tight end Ifeanyi Momah was one of just two players to make 53-man rosters that took part in the NFL veteran combine last offseason.

However, his season may be coming to an end before it could even get underway.

According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports, Momah suffered a torn meniscus in practice and will undergo surgery on Thursday.

Momah had managed to parlay the combine invite into a starting role with the Cardinals out of training camp. He caught three passes for 61 yards in Arizona’s third preseason game against the Oakland Raiders.

Now the Cardinals are searching for a fallback plan. Per Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910, former Detroit Lions tight end Joseph Fauria was at Cardinals headquarters on Wednesday.

Fauria caught 18 passes for 207 yards and a whopping seven touchdowns in 2013, but managed just six catches for 74 yards and one touchdown in seven games last year.
