Investigators deem fire that destroyed Rolando McClain’s house “suspicious”

Fire

On Monday night, a fire destroyed a home owned by Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain in an “exclusive” Alabama neighborhood. On Tuesday, police deemed the fire to be “suspicious.”

“Anytime you have a vacant house go up, particularly one of that value, you have to consider it suspicious,” Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Lt. Andy Norris said, according to the Associated Press. “Every house in that neighborhood is probably over $1 million.”

The fire becomes more suspicious in light of a witness report that a car was seen speeding away from the scene.

The house reportedly had been for sale, at an asking price of $1.5 million.
