The Titans are holding out hope for quarterback Jake Locker, but the signs are pointing toward another start for Charlie Whitehurst.
Locker has been listed as questionable for Sunday’s game after returning for a limited practice session on Friday. Locker missed the first two days of practice this week with a right thumb injury he sustained in last week’s loss to the Browns. He missed their Week Four game with a wrist injury.
Locker threw a few passes during the portion of practice open to the media, but Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports that the throws didn’t have much velocity on them. As a result, Wyatt believes Whitehurst will get his second start of the season when the Titans host the Jaguars.
If Locker is inactive, he’ll likely have running back Shonn Greene keeping him company. Greene is doubtful to play after missing the last two days of practice with a hamstring injury.
