Ja’Marr Chase leaves for a concussion evaluation

Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase returned to the locker room with an injury in the second quarter, but the Bengals were able to finish the drive with their first points of Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.

Evan McPherson’s 29-yard field goal tied the score 3-3 with 10 minutes to go in the first half. The Jaguars opened the scoring on a 55-yard Cam Little field goal late in the first quarter.

Chase left the game after being tackled on a four-yard catch. Jaguars defensive back Jarrian Jones grabbed Chase by the facemask on the tackle and he was penalized for the play. Chase was checked out in the tent before returning to the locker room.

The Bengals announced that Chase is being evaluated for a concussion.

Chase had three catches for 26 yards before his departure.
