Chiefs head honcho Scott Pioli still has a long way to go in his rebuilding effort in Kansas City; that’s why the quality of the players he released on Saturday isn’t so good.
And away we go: Guard Colin Brown, defensive tackle Garrett Brown, defensive lineman Dion Gales, tackle Bobby Greenwood, guard Darryl Harris, linebacker David Herron, defensive tackle Derek Lokey, safety DaJuan Morgan, quarterback Tyler Palko, safety Ricky Price, wideout Verran Tucker, linebacker Pierre Walters and running back Javarris Williams were all let go.
On Friday, they waived: tight end Leroy Banks, wide receiver Rich Gunnell, guard Lemuel Jeanpierre, guard Dan Santucci, and linebacker John Russell.
The Chiefs also placed placed cornerback Maurice Leggett and wideout Jerheme Urban on injured reserve.
Wideouts Jeremy Horne and Terrance Copper both made the team.
