The former Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end was arrested on Monday on suspicion of driving under the influence in Southern California.

According to the Associated Press, Stevens and Solo were stopped at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Monday morning for driving without the vehicle’s headlights on. He was released Tuesday with a citation to appear in Los Angeles Superior Court in March.

Solo, the goalkeeper for the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team, had just had assault charges against her dismissed on Jan. 13 from an altercation with her sister and nephew last June. U.S. Soccer has suspended Solo for 30 days following her husband’s arrest on Monday.

Stevens has had many violations of the law dating back to his time at the University of Washington, may of which have been alcohol and marijuana related.
