Jets rookie WR Omar Cooper returns to practice; Breece Hall, Adonai Mitchell still week-to-week

The Jets have been missing several skill position players on offense in recent weeks, but one of them will be back on the practice field Wednesday.

Head coach Aaron Glenn said that rookie wide receiver Omar Cooper has been designated to return from injured reserve. The first-round pick has been out since Week 1 with an ankle injury.

Cooper was hurt on his only catch of the Jets’ win over the Titans. He picked up 30 yards with that catch to set up a touchdown by fellow first-rounder Kenyon Sadiq.

While Cooper could be in play to face the Patriots this weekend, the Jets are set to remain without running back Breece Hall and wide receiver Adonai Mitchell. Glenn called both players week-to-week. Hall has missed two games with a quad injury while Mitchell has missed three with a finger injury that required a surgical procedure.
