The Jets did some roster shuffling on Wednesday morning.
They announced that they have signed wide receiver Junior Bergen. Wide receiver DT Sheffield was waived with an injury designation in a corresponding move.
Bergen was a 49ers seventh-round pick in 2025. He did not make the 53-man roster out of camp and spent time on the team’s practice squad during the regular season.
Sheffield signed with the Jets after going undrafted out of Rutgers this year. He will revert to the Jets’ injured reserve list if he does not get claimed.
Garrett Wilson, Adonai Mitchell, Isaiah Williams, and first-round pick Omar Cooper are at the top of the Jets’ receiver depth chart.
