Former Bills quarterback and Hall of Famer Jim Kelly was back in New York for surgery and more tests this week, but remains cancer-free, according to his daughter.
Via the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, Kelly’s daughter Erin said her father has been cancer-free for 18 months.
He was diagnosed in June 2013, and had surgery on his jaw, and had to undergo more surgery and treatment in March 2014 after it spread to his nasal cavities.
Kelly has remained a fixture at Bills events, and was on the sidelines for the season finale this year, as fans rally around him throughout his fight.
