Ex-Cowboys running back Joseph Randle is a free man. For now, anyway.
Randle was released from Sedgwick County Jail in his hometown of Wichita, Kansas, after posting $100,000 bond, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Randle had been arrested on four counts of aggravated battery, one count of making a criminal threat, one count of criminal damage to property and one count of possession of marijuana. That was his fifth arrest in the last year and a half.
While at the Sedgwick County Jail, Randle was joined by his brother, former Kansas running back John Randle, who is in the same jail on a probation violation. John Randle was the Jayhawks’ leading rusher in 2004 but was kicked off the team after repeated off-field issues.
Randle started the first six games of the season for the Cowboys last year, rushing 76 times for 315 yards and four touchdowns. But the NFL suspended him and the Cowboys eventually cut him.
