We had our second tie in as many weeks on Sunday and the result might have been different had Redskins cornerback Josh Norman drawn so many penalty flags against the Bengals.

Norman was flagged five times in the 27-27 draw and three of those penalties were accepted by the Bengals over the course of the afternoon in London. Norman let loose on field judge Brad Freeman, who wears No. 88 on his uniform, after the game ended on a Kirk Cousins incompletion.

“Who is official 88? I’ve gotta know,” Norman said, via Mike Jones of the Washington Post. “You suck. I’m just putting it out there. We play a physical game, they know that. We come here international game, it all goes out the window. ... He needs to be reprimanded.”

Norman got beaten by A.J. Green more than once, including one 40-yard completion that made Norman’s flag for pass interference a moot point. Those plays by Green are part of the reason why Norman could argue that it’s “a team game” when asked about blaming kicker Dustin Hopkins for missing an overtime field goal that would have sent Washington back to the U.S.A. as winners.
