The Saints lost a receiver when Ja’Lynn Polk retired over the weekend, but it doesn’t sound like they feel an urgent need to add another one to the roster.
Head coach Kellen Moore was asked about the possibility of making a move at the position during a Monday press conference and he pointed out that they currently have 12 wideouts vying for spots on the 53-man roster.
“We’re always looking to see if something suits us, but right now we’ve got a lot of guys in that room that are all getting opportunities,” Moore said, via NewOrleans.Football.
Moore was asked a followup about Keenan Allen in particular. Moore said he enjoyed coaching Allen with the Chargers in 2023, but reiterated that the Saints have “a lot of receivers” in the mix for the time being.
