Laremy Tunsil suffered torn triceps on Saturday

The Commanders are dealing with a significant blow to their offensive line.

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, left tackle Laremy Tunsil suffered a torn triceps during Saturday’s practice.

He is likely to require surgery and is now set to miss at least a significant portion of the regular season.

Tunsil, 32, suffered the injury during one-on-one drills.

A five-time Pro Bowler, Tunsil has been with the Commanders since last March, when Houston traded him to Washington. In March, Tunsil signed a two-year contract extension to keep him with the club.

He started 14 games for the Commanders last year. In all, he’s started 139 career games for Miami, Houston, and Washington since entering the league as a first-round pick in 2016.
