During Friday night’s game between the Steelers and Redskins at FedEx Field, quarterback Rex Grossman led tight end Fred Davis into the path of Steelers safety Ryan Mundy. Trailing Davis was linebacker Lawrence Timmons.

Eschewing what could have been a helmet-first blow to Davis (and a big fine for Mundy), the former Mountaineer led with his shoulder and hit Davis in the midsection, breaking up the play. The only problem, for Timmons, was that the force of Mundy’s hit pushed Davis’ backside into Timmons’ head, jerking it back.

All three were on the ground momentarily, with Timmons the last man down. After the commercial break, Timmons was on the sidelines and he looked to be OK.

There’s no score with less than 10 minutes to play in the first half.
