Leon Washington said all the right things about leaving New York, saying he was “stoked” and “ready for a change of scenery.” His wife Charity was less diplomatic.
“Good Luck paying the 20 people due contracts @ the end of the season. Lol,” she wrote on Twitter. “Thank You Jesus for getting us out of here.” Mrs. Washington made her account private later in the day, but the quote made the New York Daily News.
She has nothing to be ashamed of, really. We’re pretty impressed with her knowledge concerning all the expiring contracts on the Jets.
