The Packers will be without a pair of defensive linemen in the opener.

According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, Packers defensive lineman Letroy Guion has been suspended the first three games of this season, pending appeal.

The league doesn’t announce suspensions until appeals are completed, so there was no official word from the league, and it could still be reduced.

But some degree of suspension was expected after Guion was arrested in February on marijuana charges in Florida. He eventually reached a plea deal in the case, and has filed a motion to try to recover the truck and nearly $200,000 in cash the police seized during the arrest.

The Packers are also going to be missing defensive end Datone Jones, who was suspended one game for violating the substance abuse policy.
