The Lions placed offensive lineman Giovanni Manu on the active/non-football injury list, the team announced Wednesday.
Manu is competing for a roster spot after the Lions signed veteran Larry Borom and drafted Blake Miller in the first round.
The Lions drafted Manu in the third round in 2024, but he played only four games with one start in his first two seasons.
Manu didn’t play his rookie season and spent part of last season on injured reserve with a knee injury.
Time is running out on his tenure in Detroit despite being a second-day draft pick only two years ago.
