The United Football League championship game went into overtime today, with the Las Vegas Locomotives defeating the Florida Tuskers 20-17 to win the first UFL title.
Florida headed into the game undefeated, but Las Vegas, which went 5-2 with two regular-season losses to the Tuskers, came out on top when it mattered. A 33-yard field goal from Graham Gano in overtime gave the Locomotives the championship.
Las Vegas quarterback J.P. Losman went 21-of-35 for 193 yards, with no touchdowns or interceptions. Florida quarterback Brooks Bollinger went 22 of 45 for 306 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Running back DeDe Dorsey had a big game for Las Vegas, running 11 times for 66 yards and two touchdowns and catching four passes for 32 yards.
